Baby Boomers - Being An Orphan

Sounds kind of strange to say Baby Boomer and Orphan in the same sentence doesn't it - but it is happening. Boomers are getting to the age of losing their parents and finding that, yes, feeling like an orphan. Now I realize that Boomers who did not stay close to their parents will not feel the same 'tug at the heart string' when the last parent is gone, but for those who have the loss of the last parent does give you that feeling.

Along with that also comes the realization that we are 'next in line' in the evolution line. Yep, everything being equal we are the next ones to go. Not a pleasant thought is it?!

For most of us this means having a good look at our spirituality - questioning whether or not there is anything "after", though for a good percentage of people, including myself, we know there is more "after". If you are interested in some 'food for thought' on this subject do have a look at this article:

Next time I will share with you what it was like to have some of my parents 'treasures' (furniture) delivered 3 years after I became an orphan.

Have a story? I would love to hear it!
